What an insightful discussion with @swati_maliwal Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Women and other members. It was heartening to know about the different initiatives undertaken by them for improving safety for women in Delhi. It was a wonderful experience to meet the complete team and to hear them speak passionately about their endeavours. Also discussed about the ‘181’ helpline number that empowers citizens to report incidents about violence against women and the patrol vans which reach the spot swiftly. We felt gratified that they had watched ‘A Thursday’ and the topic and narrative resonated with them on how we highlighted the subject of women safety and the need for stricter laws to protect them.

Been rushing from one set to the other off late and sometimes the work is long hours and sometimes the wait is .. and apart from work my head and heart are always occupied with thoughts of the kids. Are they ok? What must they be doing? Would they have eaten? Did they reach the park on time? Did they think about their mama? I know a hundred meaningful and a million meaningless doubts and questions … being a mom or a working mom is hard but the joy and the love one feels when you slide into bed with after a long day at work and hot bath is second to none … it’s almost midnight I might be at work till 6 am but the only thing that gets me back here everyday and away from them is the thought that I can go back to those endless that lead to sulks of mama being away which in turn become endless cuddles again. Uff! Mehr and Guriq have my heart ♥️.. are all you mamas ok… jus remember you are all doing a great job!
