The Recording Academy® has announced the honorees for its 2021 Special Merit Awards. Honoring Selena the Lifetime Achievement Award alongside with Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Lionel Hampton, Marilyn Horne, Salt-N-Pepa, and Talking Heads!
The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates performers who have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording.
The honorees will be recognized on the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® on January 31, 2021.

Today we celebrate the 29th Anniversary of Selena y Los Dinos’ first appearance at the Houston Astrodome. It was also a first time performing “Como La Flor” which was released as a single in October of 1992.
Fun Fact: “Como La Flor” has been streamed over 20 Billion times!
