It’s such a unique art practiced only here in udaipur by this man and his family and his temple. Its called Jal Saanjhi -painting on water 🌊
Think about it, we want to take photos that last forever, he makes a painting that lasts for 24 hours. Transitory beauty- just like a butterfly. Not to be kept but to be enjoyed while it lasts!
It’s a great lesson for life and acceptance

Bahubali Hills Udaipur was discovered just recently. It became a trending destination for Instagram reels and pictures because of the stunning natural beauty and view.
But unfortunately with people, comes their mess.
The view is absolutely stunning, the place absolutely filthy. Plastic wrappers and bottles everywhere.
It made me sick in my stomach to see this beautiful God Given Heaven so full of garbage and nobody seemed to even care!! People just took their insta pics and reels and then sat down made a picnic and left their garbage there as if God was going to pick it up or as if those plastic wrappers would mix with the earth automatically.
And how many people can I scold or fight with- I did with a few!!!
What’s the solution? I am all for small businesses but i think small shops selling all of this plastic stuff should be banned at tourist spots. If they are selling rajma chaval in steel plates that need to be returned thats great, water in glass that needs to be returned to the shop but nothing plastic that can be thrown around and destroy our earth!
There should be tourist police. Fines should be very heavy. And if people can’t pay the fines they should be taken to jail.
Sorry to sound so harsh but this really hurt my heart today!

Have you ever had an experience with a wild animal? Not talking about your last boyfriend but you can tell me about him too;)
I always thought deer were shy but these guys come from the forest to Shikarbadi @hrhhotels Udaipur and ate out of my hand. I am a little conflicted about feeding them. Generally, it is not okay to feed wildlife. I don’t want it to result in future problems for animals and people. Processed seeds, bread and other foods that are not part of an animal’s natural diet can make them sick. But the forest guys there assured me that this was organic corn and the deer came there to their garden everyday to feed. Im still a bit conflicted. What is your opinion???

Laathi- Maar Holi or Kapde-Faad Holi? Which Holi are you playing today?
India has a culture as vibrant as the many colours of Holi and it is celebrated in unique ways all across the country. Some of my favourite Holis are:
1. Mathura- The streets are filled with people coloured from head to toe. There is laddu mar holi, sukhi holi, water holi… the list is endless. People come here from all over the world to witness this beautiful festival in all it’s glory.
2. Barsana- Although in Mathura, this place deserves a special mention. According to the legend, Lord Krishna wanted to spray the colours on his beloved Radha on the day of Holi. But, as Krishna and his friends entered Barsana they were playfully greeted with the sticks by Radha and her friends who drove them out of Barsana. Following the same trend, every year the men of Nandagaon visit Barsana during the time of Holi and are greeted by women who playfully hurl sticks (aka lathi) on them.
3. Vrindavan- One of the highlights here is the Widow Holi. As per old traditions, widows wear white and are expected to lead a colourless and simple life. But on the special day of holi they get together, dance and colour each other with Gulaal breaking out of the monotony of their everyday life.
4. Pushkar- I think the name Kapda Faad is enough to have every one’s attention. Yes, in Pushkar, once everyone is covered with colour, the crowd begins to tear each other’s clothes and starts to hang them on a wire. They continue doing this till the wire breaks with the weight. It’s truly a fascinating tradition!
5. Sangla- This quaint little village in Himachal, usually quiet, comes alive on Holi for a two day long celebration.There is a lot of singing, dancing and the local wine called Phasur flows freely.
When one festival is celebrated in so many different ways in just one country, it makes me proud of the diversity of our culture and traditions and no matter how much of it I explore, there is so much more yet to be explored. The Rajput warrior clans hold the sword as a weapon of great prestige. It is often featured in religious iconography, theatre and art depicting the ancient history of India. Even in weddings the bride and grooms families gift each other swords!

Who’s got your back?
It’s just me, myself and I. Took me many years to come to terms with this.
I was that girl who was always “in a relationship”. Moving from one boyfriend to the next with a broken heart hoping to meet someone who would “complete me”.
Until one day in 2018 after a heart shattering breakup I decided – it was going to be just Me, Myself and I for awhile.
That was the start of my career as a travel vlogger too and I now realise – the only person who’s got me for life is ME! Of course, this thought is a work in progress and I often slip but i am a work in progress! :))
