For me…. it’s but another trip around the sun. On my birthday, every year, I tell my mom, “Happy Birthday”. It’s as much a celebration of the day she birthed a child as it is my blessing to be given this life to be her son, her prince, and a piece of her legacy. So, “happiest of birthdays to my sweet warrior queen, Mama G!”, I love you to the outer galaxies and back — Pops too!!! Cause I cannot mention mama G without so too mentioning the great and brilliant game-changing pioneer Papa G, the Kenyan frontiersman who braved an ocean with nothing but a single Ulysses S. Grant a suitcase and a dream. “Happiest of birthday’s to Papa G”, my life’s not possible without your vision, sacrifices and love for my mama. BEST 🎁 this year (once again!) is sis surprising me like a true G, though she’s hella smart cause she knows I’ma turn it into her birthday. It’s a joy to be able to spoil her while we all still here, so for her, the principessa of the G clan, ANYTHING. Wanna re-create our childhood pizza birthdays? Done. Breakfast in bed while you’re on vacation? I got you. Today, I’m grateful to be alive and healthy, excited for the year to come, the creative opportunities bending before me, though, in truth, health is number one as Father Time will remain undefeated, always. Thank you god for reasoning to keep me breathing. And thank you to my LOVE for keeping me spicy, young and always on my toes. With you by my side I get to stay a kid, and we all want that deep inside, don’t we. That which you give effortlessly. So today, we celebrate like ultimate bambini. Usually, you get those calls and you try your best to be polite and not roll your eyes. But I know people. And I heard in his voice how much he believed in that project. I also have a hard time saying no lol. So I sat with an intern in a dusty storage room and watched this gritty, beautiful, and authentic as hell @princessoftherowmovie. And then I rolled my eyes and laughed. Because the manager was right. A year later, I’m gifted with the unbelievable privilege of my first distributed film as an executive being This one. There’s so much love, hard work, and incredible talented magic that went into Princess of The Row and I really hope that you all can check out the brilliant performances by @iamedigathegi and @taylerbbuck under the stellar direction of @vanmaxcarlson and poetic scribe @the_real_slimshawny. Max, you brought a real life princess to the screen. You are an incredible director that is going to shake up the game. @princessoftherowmovie, The story of a foster child who will stop at nothing to live with her father, is now available on YouTube and Amazon Prime Video.
