Ashe Instagram - as an actor, I am committed to telling compelling stories. stories have the ability to change hearts and minds. stories can reach into the soul of a person to offer compassion and understanding. stories can teach us how to love ourselves in a world that begs to differ. while it’s great to witness the recent influx of lgbtq+ stories, hollywood seldom imagines our experiences outside of heartbreak and tragedy. my latest project, The Spirit God Gave Us, is a joyful reclamation of our narrative. The Spirit God Gave Us is afrofuturism. this short film supports the notion that a black person loving another black person is, in one word, beautiful.
