She was an example of how to carry yourself. How to treat others. How to make people laugh in the most kind and sincere ways. We all loved her for a reason. Because, deep down, she’s an example of who we all want to be. A bright light of love, and hope, and optimism. I only had the pleasure of crossing paths with her a few times in my life. But those few times made an incredible impact on my life, and I will cherish them always. And while I never got an answer as to whether or not she’d make me the proud mother of her children, I will never forget her, or her kiss, as long as I live. At 37 years old, at a time when others around me may have seen a guy living a dream life, I wanted to die. I did not want to go on living anymore. The turbulence that had manifested in my head and heart over many years of undiagnosed, and therefore unresolved, trauma brought me to the depths of darkness I had never known before. And were it not for the expertise of professionals, and the love of my family, friends, and creator, I would not be here sharing this message with you now.
It took me 37 years to finally even begin to understand my own mental health, and take action in my journey of healing. And while I wish I would’ve done it a lot sooner, the truth is that there is only now. No matter where you are in life, no matter how much damage you may have suffered at the hands of your abusers, you can start healing from that abuse and living a better life, right now. It’s not instantaneous, and it isn’t easy, but it is worth it. YOU are worth it. And you are not alone.
We can all have a better life, and in turn we can all have a better world. But that’s going to require some radical changes. Changes in how we perceive ourselves and each other. The world is more divided now than ever before in human history. Polarization and dehumanization are at the heart of this sickness. But, if we can understand why we all operate in the ways that we do, and recognize that we are all, by and large, products of our environments, then we can begin to humanize ourselves and others once again, and start to practice these radical changes. Let’s start with radical love. 🙏

I understand that blockchain allows for more anonymous/safer monetary transactions, and that digital art pieces can now have each consecutive sale tracked so that the artist can be paid a percentage of each sale in perpetuity. But other than that, I cannot find ANY other valuable utility that they serve, that existing tech doesn’t already allow for. It all just feels like flexing to me, so how does that hold or accrue actual value. Remember when the world lost its collective mind for Beanie Babies? That’s what this feels like. We often mistake love with so many other things. Lust, attraction, infatuation, attachment, unhealed trauma, etc. A good way to know when it’s the real thing is to keep an eye on just how desperate you feel without it, and if you’re willing to compromise healthy boundaries in your life in order to get or keep it. In my experience, when those types of compromises are made, chances are you’re not feeling, offering, or receiving actual love. Love does not run from boundaries. It thrives in them.
