Cara Buono Instagram – I had the enormous privilege of working on this project with this brilliant cast and creative team. While this is based on the “true-crime” case that riveted the nation, it also reveals the societal pressures teens experience and mental health struggles they each battle, making the narrative far more complicated than the media portrayed. It also explores the depths the impact of technology, cyber-bullying, social media and pop-culture has on young people and how it can be truly damaging particularly the negative impact social media has on the self esteem, self image and mental health of young people today especially young women. As a mom of a young girl, this is especially important to me. Remember, if you’re feeling depressed or stressed about things in your life, reach out to a friend.
