Circuit, JUSTICE Ketanji Brown Jackson receiving the nomination for the Supreme Court already gave me hope and made me feel proud. But to watch this beautiful Black woman be confirmed today will be a moment I’ll cherish forever. KBJ is the reminder that we get to decide who belongs not only in this country but also our decision making processes. I want to celebrate her win for making it so far in a system designed to fail us, and I hope that the road will become less treacherous for future justices. I hope that future Black women can have fulfilling careers without the misogyny and emotional trauma of being overqualified and still underestimated.
