I never tire of watching my little one explore, discover and be present in every second of her life. We can learn so much from children. They are in the moment. Always. When they are upset, they express it then move on quickly. When they are happy, it is absolute PURE JOY. They are not thinking about the past or the future. Their eyes are open to everything around them. Of course they don’t have to worry about doing the dishes, scrubbing toilets, doing laundry or paying rent but you know, STILL.😉 We can still be present while doing those things. My heart is full from watching her play with her sweet friends and watch them in their make believe little world building fairy houses and pretending they are baby puppies. I’m taking that into my day today to take a minute where I stop trying to accomplish but to just be in the moment, breathe and trust that I’m exactly where I am meant to be. Now get out there and sniff a flower!…or a plant if you’re inside…or if you’re in the cold then eat some snow or something. 🤷🏼♀️ Or you can totally pretend you’re a baby puppy. Whatever gets you in the moment. ☺️Happy weekend everyone! 😘☀️🙏🏼🌴🌸💜

We are most often our biggest obstacles. We can desire or pursue something with everything we have but deep down if we don’t feel that we deserve it, then we can be blind to the opportunities or we continually self sabotage. The thought of not succeeding and staying in a place of feeling bad about ourselves is often more comfortable than imagining it’s actually possible. One of my goals this year is to start rewriting some of these blueprints or beliefs systems. Wether it be about deserving love, success, money, health or friendships…we all have them. I’ve been exploring where I’m focusing my energy lately. I struggle with intense chronic pain from past sports injuries and I find myself talking about it a lot and really spending a lot of my energy on it. These past few weeks I started writing a list of things I love, even if they are small. Then every morning I close my eyes and focus on them and feel them in my body, before I start my day. By some miracle my pain has been lessening. Are they connected? I’m not sure but I’m going to continue to keep that mind set because it shifts me and reminds me each morning of what is good in my life. I want to share of few things on my list in hopes it will inspire you to create a list of your own and to read it when you feel your energy needs a shift. 🌷☀️ ~ ~ I love the silence of the early morning before the world wakes and the feeling of having it all to myself. 💛I love a good hug that lasts longer than you expected and you realize you really needed it. 💛I love the sound of grinding coffee beans down the hall in the morning because it reminds me that I’m not alone and have a partner for life who loves me. 💛 I love the soft feel of a new baby leaf growing on one of my plants. 💛I love the shadow of palm trees on a pink sunset sky. 💛I love the sinking wet sand under my feet as the ocean wave pulls away from the shore. 💛I love the sound of tiny breath from my sleeping child. 💛 I love the earthy smell after a rainfall and the feel of morning air on my skin. 💛I love the feel of my body as it hits my bed and pillow for the first time at the end of a long day. 💛I love pink tulips in my house because it reminds me of my sweet grandmother who just passed and of my beautiful dutch heritage. 💛I love the satisfaction of my freshly made bed in the morning and the feel of getting into freshly washed sheets at night. 💛I love the feel of a tiny hand on mine as I sit, eyes closed trying to meditate. 💛I love the feel of a tear forming just as it’s about to roll down my cheek because it reminds me that I have a heart that feels and loves. 💛 I love when someone says I love you, not in passing but pupil to pupil and straight from the heart. ❤️
