Danny Ramirez Instagram – Reading List: Behave by Robert M. Sapolsky I read this book earlier during the quarantine and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve always been curious about why we do what we do. I always thought about it in regards to others but during quarantine I was all in trying to deconstruct and figure out different ways social conditioning and environmental conditioning have shaped me. I stumbled onto this book and learned so much. It goes way deeper than Nature vs Nurture. The variables and potential triggers as to why we do at our best and at our worst were fascinating. Our behaviors and personalities go much deeper than a binary explanation. This book paints the most vivid picture as to why WHY and HOW. I’d recommend it. Awesome personal takeaway: although sometimes something may be stacked against us. Awareness may help us turn the odds. Growth is always possible. So no matter what, wake up each day and try to improve. We’re all born with something stacked against us, a tough environment or fed the wrong information as we grow up. But it’ll never be too late to turn it around. ❤️ read it! P.S. My glasses are still missing a lense, going to @warbyparker this week for new ones. #NotAnAd lol
