Sum that upto 5840 injections uptil now.. Not an easy feat but hey thank god i was born in an era of medical advancement. I have heard of horror stories of people trying to control their blood glucose levels uptil 15 years back and it gives me goosebumps. From super thick needles to insulin being extracted from pigs if im not wrong…it must all be a nightmare im sure

TRUE STORY
Class 11th for me was one helluva year.
I actually didnt pay much attention to my academics as i had my mind bogged down with my ailing mother back home.
Since my father was in the army i changed schools constantly and i entered a new school as i entered grade 11.
A school that believed in not letting the boys and girls interact freely. It was clearly frowned upon if any of the staff members saw opposite gender exchange a few pleasantries.
I didnt get that.My chemistry professor never liked my guts and outspoken nature.I remember my him invigilating in one of the examinations and he came to my desk only to whisper to me that he will never let me pass my finals. And he actually made sure i lose my confidence as the year passed. Thankfully i had to bear that only for a year cuz guess what i actually did flunk my chemistry exam and had to change cities as my father was posted to Delhi.
I take great learnings from such experiences in life cuz i realized time and again i met such ass#£%^£ and after that particular incident i didnt allow anyone to take my confidence away.

Oh i know a lot of you #type1diabetics will associate with this feeling.
Not only does your food have an impact on your blood glucose levels but so do your emotions. Anxiety,stress,anger or any emotion that doesnt feel right gets your blood glucose touching the roof.
Everytime that happens with me ofcourse i turn to correction doses but thats the easy but unavoidable way out rt…
How about trying to be mindful of your thoughts,breathing right,meditating and experimenting with so many more tools available on various apps..
My go to app is wimhoff.. its a breathing technique that has benefitted me immensely
