I’m nominated for @austinchronicle’s BEST OF 2021 Awards in the Actress category (link to vote in my bio!)…and regardless of the outcome, I gotta tell you, it’s got me in all the feels. Nothing means more to me than being recognized by my own community…and lord knows they’ve seen me in varying incarnations of growth…some prettier than others. I’ve been living and loving in Austin for almost 20 years, high tailing it from Nashville as a teenager with starry eyes set on the Austin Film Community. I cut my teeth there, even getting the opportunity to work on projects steeped in Texas pride…always striving to do right by those I deeply respect. I tried LA. Twice. Hell, I may even try it again someday…but Austin will always be where I keep it real. I’ve been shooting on location in Toronto for going on 6 months and as blessed and grateful as I am for this opportunity, HOLY HELL am I homesick. @polvosatx fish tacos, @joscoffee ice coffee, anything at all at @bouldincreekcafeatx, loungy late nights at @justinesbrasserie, @dailyjuicecafe, @casadeluz.veg, @bartonspringspool & the Hill Country…you’ve been flooding my day dreams lately.
