Peeeek! This past December, we spent an afternoon in what felt like a field trip to the outskirts of Dilli. Sipping chai and soaking in the winter sun, we created something we can’t wait to share with the most wonderful women I’m proud to call my friends.

Our collaboration, ‘Swimming’ is out on all streaming platforms next Friday with a very special music video directed by @parizad_d. The song is an ode to the vulnerable, tender, affectionate half of feminine energy and a celebration of those relationships where you feel free to swim in your emotions and can voice the most difficult ones.

There’s a certain stillness in the mountains that humble the heart. The cold nights reward you with the warmth of the sun, that toast with mulberry marmalade feels like a gift, the flowers bloom gloriously to their fullest and the air cleanses the very being. This two-day whirlwind to the hills was a reminder to come back more often, to rest like the sunbathing mountain dogs and to not take silence for granted.

I have a habit of associating songs and smells to places and people. In this case- some of my favourite people. I remember listening to this song on loop- warming me on cold, VERY cold nights in Boston. It smelled like vanilla and strawberry pop tarts in the room. The snow storm outside somehow seemed gentler from my side of the window. It feels like another lifetime, really. I don’t even know when I’ll see you again, @_kelly.eileen_ but I hope it’s sooner than we think.
Attempted this beautiful memory with @rythempiano at @renaissancerecordsindia . As I write this, I’m filled with affection for all these friends I mention. I’m a lucky girl with some very talented friends.
