Thanks for hanging with us @esquire! 🥃
“It really feels like Dos Hombres found us and we embraced that, embraced the culture. And now it’s about taking that piece of that history, that liquid history and bringing it to the rest of the world. And it’s so exciting because most people have no idea what mezcal is.” – @bryancranston

Hi everyone… Hope you had a good weekend. I wanted to give you all the first glimpse of my new movie.
Jerry & Marge Go Large is a true story about a married couple who find a flaw in the lottery and form a group in their little town to WIN BIG!
The wonderful Annette Bening is Marge to my Jerry. It’s the perfect, feel-good movie of the year.
Mark your calendars for June 17th, when it becomes available on @paramountplus
Hope you like it as much as I do.

I was saddened to hear the news today of Louie Anderson’s passing. Twenty six years ago I played his best friend in a series and this morning I’ve been wistfully remembering that experience with him. Louie was known for being big, but that wasn’t just in his presence. He was also big-hearted. An expert in the craft of comedy, and a very kind man. Although The Louie Show only lasted six episodes…later on he was able to showcase his big talent on Baskets. I was delighted to see him really shine.
Bravo, Louie. Rest now big fella.
Last night I chatted with @colbertlateshow, seen here explaining how he’d give me a rectal exam. I enjoyed ‘most’ of our conversation.
I was fortunate to work with Peter Scolari three times in my career, and each time was memorable – more for his gracious nature than the projects. Peter exemplified what it was to be a talented and kind man working in Hollywood. I learned a lot from him, and will miss his infectious smile and warm friendship.
I’m so happy and proud to announce our beautiful mezcal has finally arrived in the country where it was born. Dos Hombres is now available through Amazon Mexico.
The true test was getting praise from all over this beautifully cultured country. Our spirit is made just like it was hundreds of years ago by master mezcaleros. @DosHombres is created in small batches, under the watchful eye of our maestro, Gregorio Velasco, from the tiny mountain village of San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca. Try it and tell us what you think.
Gracias,
Bryan
Tonight we sail off! Well, it’s a short cruise, just under two hours and we dock right back where we started in Westwood near UCLA, at the beautiful @geffenplayhouse. If you’re in LA, come see me in “Power of Sail”, a brilliant new play by @paulgrellong, directed by the incomparable @weynimengesha that runs only until March 20th – so hurry. Baton down the hatches, this play packs some heavy wind! Link to tickets in bio. BC
Incredible time launching #DosHombres in Dubai with @slsdubai! Thank you for having us, we can’t wait to come back! Cheers everyone! 🥃 SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences
Ban all assault weapons!
This is not a liberal or conservative issue… it is a human issue. The assault weapon’s only purpose is to kill as many human beings possible in the least amount time. We have to ask ourselves, when is it going to be enough? Until then, we have to be honest and admit that we live in a violent country… just writing that breaks my heart. Our children deserve #MoreThanThoughtsAndPrayers from leaders elected to protect them from gun violence. Join the movement to #EndGunViolence Text ACT to 644-33.
I’ve got some thoughts to share on this eve of the World Series. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, so I’ve loved the @Dodgers all my life. By extension, I’ve hated the rival @SFGiants and their success against us, but I’ve never disrespected them. That’s not the case with the @Astros. They have been exposed as cheaters. Not in a good-ol’-fashion baseball way, but in a ‘calculated, devious use of technology and a trash can’ way. The kicker is that they were already a very talented team… they sullied the reputation of baseball, their fans, and themselves – out of pure ego. They disrespected the game, and that is why they are universally disrespected and despised by nearly everyone who loves baseball, including me. Their duplicity was met with finger-waving admonishment as their punishment. The commissioner’s failure to protect the integrity of the game was a disappointment. So maybe the baseball writers can administer justice to these cheaters by remembering years from now, that several great players are hoping to enter the Hall. Correa, Altuve, Bregman, etc, all have a good shot at being elected to the Hall of Infamy.
I hope they make it.
GO @braves
Just announced – Power of Sail – the play I’m currently in at the historic @GeffenPlayhouse in Westwood, LA is extending until March 27th! It’s great to be back doing live theater, come check us out. Link in bio for tickets. BC
Bartender Clay made a great @DosHombres cocktail tonight at #Oswald Restaurant in Santa Cruz, CA. My wife had a DH Negroni. So damn good. Have a great holiday weekend, and stay safe. bc
Today, on his birthday, I’m wondering what Martin Luther King would think about our society’s progress with civil rights… I’m sensing he’d wear a grimace. Not a very happy birthday. The current drive by legislators in several states to restrict voting isn’t even subtle racism – it’s blatant. It reminded me of a quote by President Lyndon Johnson, that I learned when preparing to portray him in a Broadway play. LBJ was the architect of the voting rights act of 1965 that made it easier – not harder for all people to vote… and isn’t that what democracy means, encouraging all citizens to participate in their government?
“Until justice is blind to color, until education is unaware of race, until opportunity is unconcerned with the color of men’s skins, emancipation will be a proclamation but not a fact.”Lyndon B Johnson
We’ve got a long way to go, but Dr. King was not one to give up, and neither should we. Have a nice day. Be kind. Stay well.
