Giacomo Gianniotti Instagram – Couple weeks ago, I walked into the @wearemanenough studio to meet @jamey_heath_ @justinbaldoni and @feministabulous for a catch up follow up chat to the pod we had done earlier in the year, that you all loved so much. I don’t think any of them expected me to share what I did, but I am so happy that I did, and felt so safe in that space to be open and vulnerable about my wife @nichole_gianniotti and I’s journey. This is a time “again” when women’s reproductive rights and bodily autonomy are being attacked and I felt it was the right time to share our story in the hopes that other men would share theirs. More importantly I think the conversation on today’s episode was a beautiful model for how people who may have slight differences of opinion, with patience and “compassion over comprehension” can actually find their way into harmony on this topic. To all the men and women who have been through what we have, our hearts are with you. Your pain is ours, and all we can do is stay positive and hope for a better future. I ask people commenting, on any platform this conversation finds it’s way on, to please be sensitive and to lead with kindness. Lets not be afraid of using the word “abortion” as it is a medical right, that women for whatever reason, should have access to. And lets educate everyone on how much that 8 letter word covers.
