This past weekend at @FanExpoDallas we had a very unique opportunity to spoil someone. As we raise money for families impacted by crisis and disease it’s easy to forget the simple value of creating experiences for these families above and beyond battling the medical bills. We are blessed with so many great friends that were at Fan Expo and helped make this experience memorable for Alyssa. If you haven’t been following Alyssa’s story – back in February Alyssa (13) was hit by a car while walking down the sidewalk – she was then hit by a second car and both drivers fled the scene. Alyssa was hanging on by a thread but somehow she pulled through and she’s now at a 24/7 rehab facility after being in a coma for three weeks. The Fisher family was able to check Alyssa out of the facility Saturday so we could give her the full Fan Expo experience! Huge thank you to @GuyGilchrist for sitting with Alyssa to draw her that beautiful Kermit art. Thank you to @BrecBassinger for the time talking to Alyssa and taking photos. Thank you to @Ravassa for the BOOP and all the goofy photos. Thank you to @CliffordChapin – she was so excited to meet you. Extra special huge thanks to @AshleyEckstein @jatactor and @mattlanter for all the help boosting our fundraiser between @icccnashville and here in Dallas, you guys are such amazing friends to the Foundation we can’t thank you and the @CelebWorx crew enough! Huge shout out to the entire @WhatNot crew at Fan Expo for hosting the auction of Peter’s final autograph from Star Wars Celebration in 2019. Helped us double our fundraising for this show – huge! Last and most plentiful is our thanks to Star Garrison of @official501st and all the Star Wars Clubs that helped us raise $6,337 for the Foundation to help more kids like Alyssa. As Peter said, “Wherever you find someone from the Five Hundred First you’ve found a friend!”

It wouldn’t be @fanexpodallas without the OG @jimbeanus – on top of being a crazy talented artist Jim has donated a lot of original art to our fundraisers. Find him in Booth 857.
Over the weekend the Mayhew Foundation crew transported over $200,000 in Star Wars toys donated by Holocron Toy Store (12 pallets). These toys will be headed to children’s hospitals to spread much needed joy and distractions to kids facing cancer and other medical challenges.
TODAY at 5PM Central we’re partnering with @WhatNot at @FANEXPODallas for a charity auction for one of the final autographs Peter ever made at Star Wars Celebration in 2019. Sign up to bid from anywhere in the world via the link in our bio!
