Laura Price Instagram – The Golden Trio #fruitsbasket #crossover 💗 I did an embarrassing amount of research to determine their Hogwarts houses. Tohru was obvi a Hufflepuff 🦡 and Kyo is a hotheaded, competitive Gryffindor 🦁 Yuki was the most difficult to pin down, but after a lot of thought I decided he is a Slytherin 🐍 I found the zodiac rat to be most in line with Slytherins with some very obvious similarities (ambition, an eagerness for power) but as for Yuki personally: like a Slytherin, Yuki keeps a cool head, he’s an inventive problem solver teamwork oriented (think Book 1: Yuki’s idea to use a team of rats to recover Tohru’s belongings). Also like a Slytherin, Yuki is a loyal friend, a good listener, and fair. Like the zodiac rat AND Slytherins, Yuki is cunning and clever (values knowledge for application, not for knowledge’s sake, more so like a Slytherin vs a Ravenclaw, imo). Plus, Kyo and Yuki HATE each other. Gryffindor and Slytherin are constantly put into conflict because they are the most similar houses. They value similar traits and have similar ambitions but slightly different core values. Like Slytherins and Gryffindors, Yuki and Kyo are actually quite similar and are constantly in conflict. Though they hate each other, I noticed in the manga that they often share the same thoughts and dialogue!
