THIS IS US ! Eleven years ago yesterday Deep Katdare and I walked around a fire and promised to make a life together. Here we are now celebrating that day with our most precious gift . I hope everyone had an amazing Mother’s Day . I know it’s a “ made up “ holiday, but sometimes we need a day carved out purposefully to find the time to appreciate someone . I wanted to share this picture that encapsulates so much of my life. My baby bunny and our protector in the background . Deep has always looked after me and continues by looking after our daughter with an even fiercer energy . This Mother’s Day I was given a day of surprises from my husband . An overnight stay with a wonderful dinner with surprise guests , then the next morning a paint / lunch mother & daughter party and then a NY city mini kids opera of the Barber of Seville so my daughter could have her first experience with us . I was not going to list the events , but anyone who knows my husband knows these personalized events took time for him to find . My husband who works so hard everyday to provide for his family took so much time to make my “ made up “ day special . So the day after “ Mother’s Day “ I wanted to thank him and all the men who go out of their comfort zones and Practicality coats and give the women in their lives surprises of appreciation . I know not everyone can do that , but it’s not the expense it’s the thought and my husband won this weekend . But honestly a card , flowers and lunch would have been fine, he’s got the next decade covered . Also This post is not to “ Shame” anyone who did not do anything special , it’s to Publicly thank and share how awesome my husband is and how much his thoughtfulness meant to me . #loveofmylife

I spend a lot of time in cars… waiting and waiting and waiting . Today it’s for my daughter while she takes a tennis makeup class . I also do that in my everyday life. I am always waiting for something to spark into my journey. It makes the waiting hard as I can’t relax or have fun unless I feel like I have earned it , really worked , fought for a prize. So I ask the universe, while I wait for whatever it is I am waiting for . Give me peace . Give me joy . Give me patience . On this “International Women’s Day “ I want to say as a “ Woman” a “Mother “ a “Daughter” and ultimately a “Human “ that this horror needs to end . We always talk about how different the world would be if “ women “ ran the world. On that point, though I agree 😉 we must accept that our world is our world . But as a mother ,especially on this day , I say No one has the right to hurt another , no older citizens should be struggling over planks to escape their attackers and children should not be running away from bombs in their homes from tanks.
