I came to India to pursue playback and to be honest, I didn’t place much importance on performing initially. As I slowly started to perform, I realized performing on stage is a whole different ball game than playback which I had focused so much of my time on. I understood that performing is ultimately about connecting with the audience. I started dreaming about jamming with a set of musicians and performing a set that we curate together. I finally got to properly do this with this gig at Moonshine – that’s why this was so special to me. And the timing was perfect because I had just released “Manasara”.
I have to say, as scary as it was, I’m so happy I pushed myself to do this. I’m proud of myself. And the best part is, it can only get better from here!
To all the negativity, naysayers, doubters out there (mainly the ones in my head), I say goodbye to you now because I don’t have time for you anymore. I’m on my own journey. It’s me, my music and connections made through that. Onwards and upwards – peace out to the noise ✌🏻

This song is a small piece of me. Creating these originals takes a lot out of an artist – multiple iterations, a lot of “let’s put this aside and see how we feel later” topped off with a bunch of self-doubt. Oh man, it’s freakin’ terrifying but it’s also just as satisfying when someone out there connects to the song 🙌🏻

Day 5 of #15DaysOf15Seconds – I’m skipping the MLRIT show for now but yesterday was my Thathaiyya’s birthday 🥰 I haven’t been able to spend much time at home the past couple of months due to work. My thathaiyya keeps joking around and asking me “India lo ne unnaava Lekapothe US lo unnaava ardham kaavatledhu” So I was very happy that I happened to be at home and free on his birthday yesterday ❤️ Memories cherished forever 🥰

I decided to go with Manasara as the title of the song – thank you sooo much for helping me with it 🙂 I love the genuinity in the word and I made this song last year during a time when I was getting myself out of a long rut. The people around me is what truly helped me. The song comes from the heart which is why I decided on this word!
