Happy Mothers Day to my One and Only! There are no words to thank you for all that you’ve done for me: including surprising me at the Halo premiere when you were supposed to be in Mexico. Love you Ma! ❤️
@menshealthmag dropped by my backyard gym to get a sneak peak of some of the training @eddie_raburn and I have been doing in preparation for @halotheseries Season 2! Check out the full “Train Like” segment by clicking the link in my bio… 💪🏼

Oh, oh, oh, I’m on vacation…
So you wanted some action… Well, hope you enjoy Episode 5! This one comes with a special nod to the amazing men and women behind the camera that pull off the impossible every single day. The crew!!! We have a great one on @halotheseries. So many talented, creative, hard working folks in Budapest and abroad came together to make this massive series a reality. I was honored to work alongside each and every one of them, and I can’t wait to rejoin many of them soon for Season 2 and see all my old friends and new collaborators. Thank you to everyone who gave their energy to this project and double thank you for all of those still working hard to make this show even better, richer, deeper and more complex going forward. 🙏🏼❤️ In the meantime, please enjoy Episode 5, streaming now on @paramountplus! 📸@eddie_raburn
Good morning everyone! Episode 6 is out and streaming now on @paramountplus! This is my favorite episode of our first season and I believe, the most successful at capturing all the things that drew me to making this show in the first place. The deeper parts of Halo, when u get underneath the FPS facade, have always been about humanity’s struggle to be the best version of ourselves. It’s about war, the cost of it and what makes us fight. And it’s about heroism and the true nature of it. Heroism is not easy, and it’s not free. Heroism is not a symbol or an easily recognizable video game avatar. Heroism is deeply human and far more complex. When you look behind the mask, heroism is often born of sacrifice and trauma and carry’s wounds that can last for generations. This episode is dedicated to all of the heroes who have fought for what they believed in and all of the scars that aren’t easily healed. I see you, I love you, I respect you… 🙏🏼❤️ For all of those veterans suffering and needing help, don’t be afraid to ask. @getheadstrong @wwp and many other organizations like them are here to help!
Filmmaking is the ultimate team sport. Everyone is affected by the choices and actions of the collaborators around them. Most of these relationships are not chosen. A huge part of making art is learning to make the most out of relationships and collaborations that might not be that exciting. But then once in awhile collaborators come along that just fit. Their sensibilities match yours, your tastes line up and everything feels better when they’re around. I had a number of these electric, fulfilling collaborations on Halo but in the wake of episode 6 and the wonderful reception it has received it felt like good timing to highlight a couple of those who play such a meaningful role in the second half of our season… First of all @jonliebesman directed the shit out of Episode 5 and 6! So much so that we had to beg him to come back for 8 and 9. In him I found a partner in crime who was as committed as I was to improving and elevating the show. Every day, every moment was an opportunity to fix something, to make something better. He was never content to settle for something ordinary when there was a better option. He has an exquisite eye, an indefatigable work ethic and a head of flowing locks that would make Samson self conscious. I feel so lucky that he was sent my way and I couldn’t have survived the experience without him. @charliemurphyactress ladies and gentleman… I warned you she was coming. This lady was a godsend! She turned a very challenging part into a tour de force. She is a wonderful human being, a gifted, intelligent performer and a force of nature in a petite but mighty package. I can’t imagine anyone handling the strange waters and challenges of Halo season 1 with more grace and professionalism and talent than she did. She was a beacon for me thru the whole back half of the season. My eternal gratitude goes out to these 2 amazing collaborators, and the rest of the Halo team, for helping me, supporting me, teaching me and being really kick ass teammates! 🙏🏼❤️ All photos taken by our amazing Digital Content Supervisor @annaveraphoto 🤗
