There is a long period of growth that comes with both joy and pain. There is the breathless anticipation when the time draws near and everyone involved just can’t wait for the miracle to happen. In the last hours there is much crying, sweating, and pushing through the final contractions. There could be a lot of swearing and cursing as well, and those witnessing the process may feel powerless to help.
Early this coming week the Big Cat Public Safety Act is coming to the full House floor for a vote. I need every one of you to help with this next to last contraction. This baby that will protect big cat babies, first responders and the public is coming in 2022, the Year of the Tiger if you are able to push hard enough now in the House and the next time when we ask you to do the same in the Senate.
We have a majority already in the House with 258 Co Sponsors (52 are Republicans) so it is a bipartisan bill that will pass the Democratic controlled House this week, BUT it has to pass in the Senate too and they will be looking at how many Republicans actually care enough to vote for the bill. They may not even consider it unless they see a lot more than the current 52 supporting it because Republicans control the Senate.
That’s why I am asking every one of you to go to BigCatAct.com and take action now! If we all hold hands, and roar out for protecting big cats, we can bring the eye of the tiger to focus on birthing this new era. Please make the calls, send the emails and the Tweets if you can and ask everyone in the U.S. to do the same.
