Carole Baskin Instagram – After Tiger King aired one of the most common misconceptions I heard from the millions of people who responded to the show was that captive breeding of tigers at roadside zoos and backyard menageries was saving the tiger from extinction. The ignorant observation was that breeding more tigers means saving them from extinction but this article explains why that’s not the case.  This article incorrectly states that the Big Cat Public Safety Act has stalled but in fact we expect it to become law by the end of this year. A vote is expected in the house in the next couple of days so please remind your House Rep to show up and vote for it.
