A glimpse into my 2nd level practitioner training in BBTRS, Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System. The System combines 6 elements: sound, touch, meditation, continuous connected breathing, emotional release and movement which supports body’s process for releasing chronic tension, self-restricting patterns, repressed fear, anger, sadness, stress and emotional trauma. BBTRS certification takes a long time and while I am a student I would love to offer sessions in NYC area. #breathwork #trauma #nyc #mexico #healing
During the first months of the Pandemic and lockdown, I did a remote photo series about strippers & exotic, and pole dancers based in NYC and Las Vegas to investigate how social distancing and isolation were affecting them & their work. Photo #6-7: Terry Preston works in corporate/financial Public Relations — but moonlight as a pole dancer/entertainer. He shares: “Pole dancing has given me a level of self-confidence and self-love that I’ve never known prior. They say if you want to be comfortable on stage, then you should imagine everyone in the audience in their underwear. Pole dancing does the reverse and forces you to be on stage in your underwear in front of an audience — and if you can handle that, you have the confidence to do anything. I’ve taken that confidence into my day job and it’s completely transformed my approach to my professional life. People can’t know what they don’t know — and so many people still hold the misconception that pole dancing is somehow degrading or inappropriate and that you can’t be a “professional” and simultaneously partake in such activities. However, since submerging myself in the world of pole dancing, I’ve met so many fellow pole dancers who are doctors, lawyers, PhD’s, Wall Street executives, and more.” #strippers #poledancing #pandemic #covid

Remote portrait, Kyiv, Ukraine, March 17, 2022 & portraits from 2016, same apartment. While millions are fleeing Ukraine or hiding in shelters, Julia decided to stay in her apartment in Kyiv. She lives with her 85 y.o. mother who is too old to run away or hide. To this day, Julia is the only publicly open intersex person in the country. I met Julia in 2016 and stayed three days with her and her mother in the same apartment. Since we met, Julia became one of the biggest supporters of “My Own Wings” project; her dream was to bring an exhibition to her hometown and promote Intersex rights. In 2020 she made her dream come true by finding the funds and organizing an exhibition in The Kyiv History Museum, featuring work that I have been creating for over five years about intersex people around the world. My heart is with Julia and all Ukrainians these days. 💙💛 #intersex #ukraine #kyiv
