However, what we learned from social workers at CISLA is that students now, more than ever, need a place to house all of their virtual learning supplies. Especially in homes where families have limited space. Help us, help students stay organized. "We believe every child in America should have equal opportunity and access to a quality education. As children all over the country return to school this week, it is important to be conscious of the equity gap among rich and poor students, especially underserved Latino and Black students, those without full digital access, and supplies, English learners and those with disabilities, who will be left even farther behind." -CISLA Communities In Schools of Los Angeles (CISLA) is dedicated to empowering students, who are most at-risk for dropping out, to stay in school and on a path to a brighter future.  In Los Angeles, working directly with 13 schools across the district, CISLA connects kids to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed. The schools we serve are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and are located in the historically impoverished neighborhoods of Boyle Heights, Pico-Union, South Central Los Angeles, Watts, and West Los Angeles. In partnership with local organizations, CISLA ensures that students in their program - regardless of the challenges they may face - have what they need to graduate high school and attend college. #allinforkids
