Not only do I get to work with some stellar actors, but I also got to bring my husband and 7 year old to Philly and do some fun zip lining @treetopquestphilly and show off some great parenting skills @vetricucinaphl😉. On another note, after the overturning of Roe v. Wade, there was a huge outcry online but it seems like people are moving on. I’m not going to. In my stories, I tag incredible BIPOC educators that need to be followed, supported (if you have the means) and listened to. We are in the midst of a civil rights crisis. One that actually never went away as I found out a few years ago when I delved deeply into American History. Between shameless gerrymandering, rearranging voter district lines to make it more difficult for BIPOC people to vote and stopping Critical Race Theory from being taught in schools, the GOP is trying hold on to white power and even worse, support white extremist terrorism on American soil. I just want to remind everyone that crime happens because under funded, under educated communities are in crisis. Without federal help and an end to the “war on drugs”, we will be stuck in a vicious cycle where addiction is criminalized rather than treated as the mental health crisis it is and more corporations will benefit from state funded slave labor through our gross and unfair system of mass incarceration . Please check my stories as I update them daily with action steps and amazing accounts to follow, because we can’t depend on our government to make the right changes as they only benefit financially from the system as it stands today. We need more democrats in congress and the Senate because no matter who the president is, the real power comes from our elected, local state officials. Oh and watch @13thfilm film.
