Zaira Wasim Instagram - Kashmir continues to suffer and see- saw between hope and frustration। There’s a false and uneasy semblance of calmness in place of escalating despair and sorrow। Kashmiris continue to exist and suffer in a world where it is so easy to place restrictions on our liberty.

Why do we have to live in a world where our lives and wills are controlled, dictated and bent? Why is it so easy to have our voices silenced? Why is it so easy to curtail our freedom of expression? Why aren’t we ever allowed to voice our opinions, let alone our disprovals, to decisions that are made contrary to our wishes? Why is it that instead of trying to see the cause of our view, our view is just condemned ruthfully? What is so easy to curb our voices so severely?

Why can we not live simple lives without always having to wrestle and remind the world of our existence. Why is that life of a Kashmiri is just about experiencing a lifetime of crisis, blockade and disturbance so abundantly that it has taken away the recognition of normalcy and harmony from the hearts and minds?

Hundreds of questions like these-unanswered; leaving us bewildered and frustrated, but our frustrations find no outlet. The authority doesn’t make the slightest effort to put a stop to our doubts and speculations but stubbornly tend to go their own way to confine our existence mired in a confused, conflicted and a paralysed world.

But I ask the world, what has altered your acceptance of the misery and oppression we’re being subjected to? Do not believe the unfair representation of the facts and details or the rosy hue that the media has cast on the reality of the situation.

Ask questions, re-examine the biased assumptions. Ask questions. For our voices have been silenced- and for how long....none of us really know!

How can you yourself open up the avenues to sin, and then complain about the constriction of rizq (provision)?

If you had Taqwa (piety) , nothing of what you seek would be difficult to attain, because the key of piety opens every door.

So long as the god-fearing individual remains true to the purity of Taqwa (piety), then he will not be harmed, but when he strays away from treading the path of piety, he will meet many difficulties.”

Zaira Wasim Instagram - Posted @withrepost • @thatwokeladki "On this same road, 24 hours we did a protest. We've eaten the snakes. We've eaten deadbody. We've eaten rat. We've eaten on the road. You see this is the condition of the farmers. What is the use. . . Can't you see. Our, tamil nadu farmers' families are on the road. What is the use of. . . we are not going to return to Tamil Nadu without getting our demands" (Video courtesy: @kriteyy )
Around 1,200 farmers from Tamil Nadu participated in the #KisanMuktiMarch in Delhi. Led by Ayyakkannu, this group vented their anger and frustration in a novel way, something they had done earlier too during their month-long protest in Delhi last year. They stripped themselves and covered their body parts with the skulls and bones of their fellow farmers who committed suicide in the past years.
Farmers demand remunerative prices for their produce and freedom from debt. A pamphlet distributed by the activists details their grievances. It says farmers get only Rs 5 per kilo for tomato while consumers pay Rs 30. Similarly, the pamphlet shows such difference in rates of moong dal, apples and milk. “Our life is also cheap. In the last 20 years, over three lakh farmers have committed suicide,” it says. Protesting farmers demanded a special session of Parliament on agrarian crisis to pass two Bills: one pertaining to one-time full loan waiver, the other for a long-term institutional measures to ensure farmers are not pushed into debt again. They also demand implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations that say the minimum support price should be fixed at 50% above the comprehensive cost of production.
The massive protest march by farmers in Delhi last week drew the attention of the entire country, but there was complete silence from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and  his Agriculture Minister.
@sassykidwoman who was an active participant in the protest writes: "They had a follow up event in ramleela maidan on 3rd December, some small time leaders came to assure them but no concrete action as of yet."
I see suicide awareness posts everytime a celebrity dies but the internet seems rather silent when it comes to poor killing themselves. Sigh

Zaira Wasim Instagram - “Surah Al-Fatihah”

This Surah is called Al-Fatihah, that is, the Opener of the Book, the Surah with which prayers are begun. It is also called, Umm Al-Kitab (the Mother of the Book), because the Qur'an starts with it and because the prayer is started by reciting it.

It was also said that it is called Umm Al-Kitab, because it contains the meanings of the entire Qur'an. Every Salāh is incomplete without it’s recitation as Muslim recorded that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “Whoever performs any prayer in which he did not read Umm Al-Qur'an, then his prayer is incomplete” & he said it thrice.

The honorable Surah Al-Fatihah contains seven Ayāt (verses) including the praise and thanks of Allah, glorifying Him and praising Him by mentioning His most Beautiful Names and most high Attributes.

It also mentions the Hereafter, which is the Day of Resurrection, and directs Allah's servants to ask of Him, invoking Him and declaring that all power and strength comes from Him. It also calls to the sincerity of the worship of Allah alone, singling Him out in His divinity, believing in His perfection, being free from the need of any partners, having no rivals nor equals.

Al-Fatihah directs the believers to invoke Allah to guide them to the straight path, which is the true religion, and to help them remain on that path in this life, and to pass over the actual Sirat (bridge over hell that everyone must pass over) on the Day of Judgment. On that Day, the believers will be directed to the gardens of comfort in the company of the Prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous.

Al-Fatihah also encourages performing good deeds, so that the believers will be in the company of the good-doers on the Day of Resurrection. The Surah also warns against following the paths of misguidance, so that one does not end up being gathered with those who indulge in sin, on the Day of Resurrection, including those who have earned the anger and those who were led astray. “Verily Allah has His own people among mankind.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He replied, “They are the people of the Qur’an, Allah’s own people and those who are closest to Him.” ⁣

Al-Minnaawi رحمه الله ⁣said,
That is, (the people of the Quran are those) who memorise the Qur’an and act in accordance with it are the people of Allah, who are as close to Allah as a person’s family is to him. They are called thus by way of honouring them, just as (the Ka‘bah) is called the House of Allah.⁣
⁣
⁣
Al-Hakeem at-Tirmidhi said: ⁣
This only applies to the reciter whose heart is free from ailments and his behaviour is free of misconduct. No one could be one of Allah’s own people except one who is cleansed of sin both outwardly and inwardly, and does acts of obedience to Allah. Then he will be one of Allah’s own people.⁣

Zaira Wasim Instagram - “And in the Hereafter they have Yaqin (certainity)” -Qur’an 2:4

The people described here are those whom Allah described in the preceding Ayah (verse)- “Those who have Iman (faith) in the Ghayb (unseen) and perform Salah and spend out of what We have provided for them (2:3)

These are attributes of the believers and hence Yaqin is to Iman what the soul is to the body. For it is not possible that one believes in the Ghayb (the unseen), performs the prayer and gives Zakah without believing in Allah and what the Prophet ﷺ was sent with.

As Ibn Qayim al Jawziyyah رحمه الله explains, ‘Yaqin is the soul to the actions of the heart which in turn formulate the souls to the actions of the limbs and through it one attains the rank of the Siddiq (the truthful).

From Yaqin sprouts absolute reliance in Allah and through Yaqin all doubts and worries are dispelled and the heart is filled with love, hope, and fear of Allah. This is why some of the righteous predecessors said, “Yaqin is from Iman (faith)”’

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: ‘O seeker of the good; come near!’ and ‘O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.’ And that is every night.” [Jami`at-Tirmidhi 682]

Sigh

Trust that there’s always a better one for you, a journey that you haven’t started, a destination you are yet to arrive at.

Keep walking; one step at a time.

For indeed Īmān does not show its true extent in two units of prayer or in fasting during the day.
