Our capsule came to rest in the upright position, hence the recovery forces positioned this slide to help us get gently to the ground from the hatch. After 6 months of zero gravity it is wonderful to have the assistance with all of these activities.

@nasaastronauts having a few laughs in the #iss mock-up! During the last week of training in Houston prior to launch each crew typically meets with a recently returned crew to discuss the latest status of things on the station. Today it was a special treat for @astrodrewmorgan and me to cover a few topics with the #spacexdragon #crew2 I haven’t yet seen any of them since returning from space in October, so prior to the class, Drew and I surprised them with “biological payload” hidden in a cargo bag! Lots of good laughs and wonderful to see my friends and colleagues again! @astro_kimbrough @astro.megan @astrodrewmorgan @thom_astro
After returning from space flight our bodies need some help getting readjusted to gravity. We have three “ASCRs” (Astronaut Strength Conditioning and Rehabilitation specialists), and I have worked with Staci before, during, and after this mission. Today was a big day because we just wrapped up the whole process with a “functional fitness test”. Thanks to Staci, I’m happy to say all of my numbers have returned to, or exceeded, pre-flight tests. Thank you, Staci, #yourock !!

What an honor to join @emmittsmith22 as a panelist today for cool discussion exploring mission/team preparation. Turns out an #astronauts fear of throwing the wrong switch, for example, is the same fear a #probowl running back may feel about not blocking the blitzing corner…in both cases neither of us wanted to be the person who caused our crew or team to be unsuccessful. #thankyou Emmitt for making today very special!!
