Leonardo DiCaprio Instagram – California’s San Gabriel Mountains area has been battered with climate-driven heat waves, drought, wildfires, and flooding for more than two decades. The rapidly changing climate has affected the wildlife who have called the region home for years, including a rare yellow-legged frog whose inhabitation of the mountains has been in danger since the streams across the region have dried up. Six biologists recently made the trek to the San Gabriel Mountains in order to return these rare yellow-legged frogs back to their home, doubling the number of wild yellow-legged frogs.
