β As I read this today I realised we as humans need to do a lot more for others well being than we seem to be doing .. we are all so involved in our own worlds and lives β¦ in doing what we deem fit for ourselves ..
This is how we should use social media β¦
Reminder to self and all
1. Not just post pretty pictures ..
2. Figure if you have followers how do you transform their lives while transforming your own β
Education the basic right that most are deprived of β¦
Can we educate one more besides the ones in our family – either by aiding school fees or by giving actual time to teach kids or even grown ups to read and write ..

My mother did that for kids who lived around the house ..
remember when I was pregnant and staying with my cousin at her home – I helped her house help to learn how to write and sign her name and a bit of Hindi reading ..time to do that again πβ¨

Walking through the gates of the United Nations this morning to speak at UNGA for the second time, as a proud representative of @unicef, gave me real pause.
At the top of this yearβs agenda are the Sustainable Development Goals. Today was all about action, ambition, and hope. It was about what we must do together to make the SDGβs a reality, and we donβt have a moment to lose. A special thank you to Secretary-General @antonioguterres for having me today.
The second moment I had the privilege of participating was the Transforming Education Summit. Itβs hard to believe that nearly 2/3 of children across the low- middle- and high-income countries cannot read and comprehend a simple story. The system has failed them. As the US Secretary of Education @seccardona put it so candidly, education is the great equalizer, but if we continue to do what we have done, we are going to get what we have gotten. We owe every child this basic birthright, an equal chance to learn and reach their full potential.
And as the incredible Amanda Gorman said, βI dare you to shape our fate. Above all, I dare you to do good, so that the world might be great.”
