Had a fabulous time with the #Safuu group! Darcy Donavan Instagram – 🌏GO OUT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE 🌎 I often think about how I can help people create a world where people they can feel safe, listened to and respected. I started writing my book , “Darcy’s Daily Dose of Inspiration” after helping fans out of depression and suicide. I saw the impact that my cousin who commited suicide had on me and my family and I needed to do something meaningful to help those in need. I also try to inspire change through kindness and gratitude. My book is all about what it means to be a ‘Good Person’, and respect is part of that. Both respect and disrespect are things that we learn, and things that we all have the power to teach. How we behave, how we treat each other, and what we accept from others can have a big impact on our family and those around us. I stand by the saying, “If you see something, SAY SOMETHING”. When it comes to respect it’s all about taking responsibility. If something’s not sitting right, it’s important to speak up, and when you see something disrespectful – don’t be afraid to call it out, especially in front of younger kids or siblings who might look up to you. It’s not always easy to call out disrespect when we see it in social or family situations, or with our friends. It can feel awkward or embarrassing, and sometimes it feels like it would be easier just to leave it. But when you do step in, it can make a BIG difference. You’re setting the standard that disrespect is NOT okay..
