Parvathy Instagram - After the caste killing of her husband Sankar, Kowsalya was given a clerical posting by the Union government. However, she chose to resign after she realised holding that position also came with the demand that she remain silent on the increasing caste based atrocities in our society. However, Kowsalya won’t take any silencing. Not back then when her own family was accused of murdering her husband in front of her own eyes; not now when she’s an outspoken anti-caste force in Tamil Nadu. She has, with the support of some incredibly generous people, started her own business so she can be financially independent and continue her work to liberate and embolden many who are still facing violence in the name of caste. It gave me immense joy to be present at the inaugural event of Kowsalya’s ‘Zha Family Salon’ in Vellalore.
