Our dearest Grannie,
We’ve not been able to put much into words since you left us all.
There have been tears and laughter, silences and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a collective loss for you, our beloved Queen and our beloved Grannie.
We, like many, thought you’d be here forever. And we all miss you terribly.
You were our matriarch, our guide, our loving hand on our backs leading us through this world. You taught us so much and we will cherish those lessons and memories forever.
For now dear Grannie, all we want to say is thank you. Thank you for making us laugh, for including us, for picking heather and raspberries, for marching soldiers, for our teas, for comfort, for joy. You, being you, will never know the impact you have had on our family and so many people around the world.
The world mourns you and the tributes would really make you smile. They are all too true of the remarkable leader you are.
We’re so happy you’re back with Grandpa. Goodbye dear Grannie, it has been the honour of our lives to have been your granddaughters and we’re so very proud of you.
We know that dear Uncle Charles, the King, will continue to lead in your example as he too has dedicated his life to service.
God save the King.
With our love,
Beatrice and Eugenie
Happy Birthday to my special big sissy. Love you so much 🥳🥳🥳🎉😘🎂🎁🎈🎊

Today is #worldoceansday a day we have to herald the ocean for the amazing place it is. Yesterday I was lucky enough to be on the Welsh coast visiting @car_y_mor site in Wales. This regenerative ocean farm, supported by @wwf_uk is such a wonderful volunteer supported, community owned project that looks to deliver no-input, low-impact marine farming.
Farming seaweed is a very efficient way to produce nutritious food (the seaweed burger was particularly good), fertilise crops and feed animals as well as giving new habitats to marine life.
WWF’s seaweed solutions project aims to accelerate the growth of regenerative ocean farming to improve biodiversity, sequester carbon and to provide products for use in food, feed and bioplastics.
Thank you to you all for such a wonderful day on our special ocean @wwf_uk @car_y_mor @pcfcic @falcon_boats

The @unitednations second Ocean 🌊 Conference took place last week and I was lucky enough to go to listen and learn about what’s happening across the world, the importance of our healthy oceans and all the things we can do to help it survive and flourish.
Sometimes it’s easy to feel helpless so I wanted to share just some of the actions and promises from the conference as examples of how we can work together for a flourishing ocean:
– 100+ countries have pledged to 30×30, a campaign to protect 30% of the Worlds Oceans by 2030
– Aruba will expand their marine park to an island-round marine protected area
– Australia is committing $1.2 billion to preserving and restoring the Great Barrier Reef.
– Belize will protect 30% of their marine area by 2030.
– Greece committed to reduce single use plastic beverage and food containers by 60% by 2026; cutting plastic litter in the ocean by 50% by 2030.
– Monaco is protecting Mediterranean Monk Seals and their habitats.
– The UK has pledged £150m to COAST
– @btwaves found the largest sea grass meadow on earth across the Great Bahama Banks thanks to some epic collaborators, tiger sharks! Sea Grass captures a huge amount of carbon we produce.

As we celebrate #worldoceansday and in the lead up to the UN ocean conference in a few weeks, I’ve been talking to some of the worlds leading ocean advocates about their journey to protect the ocean and learning about how we can all do our bit to protect this integral part of our world.
Please tune in over the next couple of weeks to hear from these remarkable people who are protecting the ocean and the wildlife in it, from oysters to sharks. We can support and care for the ocean like one of our own.
Proud ambassador of @bluemarinefoundation
I joined @teenage_cancer to celebrate the opening of the new Teenage Cancer Trust specialist haematology ward @uclh
We had the opportunity to speak with the incredible Nella and Michelle, who shared their experiences of being treated on a Teenage Cancer Trust ward and the wonderful staff that support and care for young people fighting and overcoming cancer.
@teenage_cancer does such vital work in allowing young people to have their own space to be a teenager whilst going through cancer.
It was an honour to be a small part of opening this wing with my mum and sister.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do to protect our oceans.. Jasmin had some helpful thoughts and advice to share with anyone who might need some help. @miss_elasmo
In the last interview of this series, and during the UN Ocean Conference, I spoke to my dear friend, environmental activist, and @unep ambassador, @elliegoulding
We spoke about how we can all make changes to protect the ocean and why it’s so important.
Thank you Ellie for leading the way.
The second interview in my Ocean Advocate Series is with Jasmin Graham who co-founded Minorities in Shark Sciences @miss_elasmo
Founded by four black female shark researchers, @miss_elasmo strives to promote diversity and inclusion in shark science and encourage gender minorities of colour to push through barriers and contribute knowledge to marine science.
They are leading the charge on innovative thinking about sharks and the ocean.
My first guest in my Ocean Advocate Series is the wonderful @rockydawuni who I met recently at @cop26uk with @unep
We quickly realised our paths are intertwined and that our mission is to help our environment and oceans.

What an amazing couple of days at the UN Ocean Conference listening and learning about what we can do to protect our oceans, coral reefs, costal ecosystems and everything that comes under Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water. @unitednations #lifebelowwater #goal14
For the third interview in my Ocean Advocate Series, I spoke to Dr Luke Helmer who works with @bluemarinefoundation as their Restoration Science Officer. He spoke to me about oyster restoration in the Solent, how important they are to the ocean and just how cool oysters are.
