Aadarsh Balakrishna Instagram – Too many answers and no questions can be a dangerous thing. Questioning and examining your belief systems can be one of the most empowering things to do as an individual. And it’s only obvious that your growth as an individual will rub off on the kind of parent you will become, the single most important job on the planet, a job handed down an unbroken chain generation after generation and yet does not come with a direction/instruction manual! I believe that evey family has it’s own unique culture and to me one of the joys of being a father and raising a young family is the prospect of creating your own culture. Even if that means doing away with beliefs, practices unconscious behaviours and ideas handed down to you by parents, society, religion and politics. And by culture, I largely mean beliefs, mindset, habits and behavior. My son is more than welcome to trash stuff that does not serve him well, when he goes on to raise his own family tomorrow. And that is the only legacy I wish to hand down to him. On that note, Happy Father’s Day to me 💜
