Colin O’Brady Instagram – It was during my years as a professional triathlete that I discovered the power of meditation and mindset training.
A friend asked me, “what are you doing to strengthen your mind?” and I had no response. I wanted more edge in competition. I knew I had more in me.
Not too long after that I signed up for a 10-day Vipassana (silent meditation retreat). It was one of that hardest things I’d done at the time, but after those 10 days of silence I felt like a different person. The experience had a massively positive impact on my performance as an athlete, and overall strength and presence of mind.
This mindset training is the foundation of my ability to push so hard over the past decade. Without it I’m not sure there would be any records.
Mindset is everything. Get familiar with the chaos and function of your own mind and learn how to hone it and work together to achieve all that is possible for you!
