I always love learning more about my family history! My cousin, Chriselle found this photo on ancestry and believe it or not, my grandfather, Harry Joseph Lennix, Sr., is on this ship. They called him the Black Frenchman because he spoke fluent French and served as a translator for the troops. They were an all-Black company. #ThrowbackThursday
I had the honor of presenting an award at the National Black Theatre Festival’s opening night gala at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina last week. What a great night with so many truly inspiring people!
