entering a new era 🦋

after i FULLY botched my own hair (i reallllly thought i could do it), i had to book an emergency appointment. thank god they saved the day. i’m feelin so fresh & so clean now w/ my new cut. a whole ass new person. moving forward, i’ll leave it to the professionals. a day at the salon always feels good anyway.

happy #nationalcomingoutday to everyone out there finding themselves and/or celebrating love without limits. it’s been 7 years since i posted my “Coming Out: I am gay, I am human” video to youtube and the life that would transpire after it has truly been eye opening. i’ll be honest, at the time i wasn’t prepared to be launched into the world of advocacy. i didn’t have the correct verbiage & was extremely sensitive to “getting it right.” i was just a 19 year old wanting to express my truth in an honest and creative way that allowed the conversation to be much broader than just my coming out. but i’ve since learned that’s the beauty of sharing your truth. when you lead with honesty, it only needs to make sense to you. genuinity & love will always shine through and that’s simply enough. everyone’s journey of self discovery is going to be different & beautiful all in their own ways. today is a day to celebrate how far you’ve come & how far you’ll continue to go. i love you all 💛 thank you for everything!!

so… i have a new roommate?! 🥺 this baby boy was found roaming the streets of detroit covered in scars & just skin & bone. they think he is just 8-12 months old & was possibly used as a bait dog.. thankfully @agwiaz came to his rescue & convinced me to foster him & give him some good lovin’. i have absolutely no! clue! what! i am doing!! but i simply couldn’t resist 🥺 it took one look into his eyes for me to just completely melt. he is just the sweetest, most gentle boy ever. something in me told me i had to do this. going to take it day by day & get this boy happy & healthy again 💛
