My portrait of the indomitable Ms. Gwen Carr. Most of us shouldn’t even know who she is. We shouldn’t have to be familiar with her face or her pain. She should be another face in the crowd, known and loved by her friends and family- ALL of her family. Including her late son, Mr. Eric Garner, slain on this day in 2014 by the pigs in Staten Island. But we do know her name. We also know that she is strong, courageous and unbowed. We know her name even as we continue to #saytheirnames #fujigfx100s
