Thank you @cbsmornings for helping us announce the launch of our @kevinlovefund SEL curriculum, now available for free to educators nationwide!!!
Mental illness is one of the single greatest thieves of human potential today – but it doesn’t have to be.
In collaboration with K-12 educators and SEL experts, our team at the @kevinlovefund has created and piloted a 14-lesson plan curriculum – customized for middle school, high school, and college students. It was developed to combat the growing mental health pandemic to support students in expressing emotion and destigmatizing challenges with mental health. And this September, we are launching in 32 states, 250 schools, with over 10,000 students already involved in the program.
Kids often feel like they need to go “down the hall” to address their feelings – but we want them to be able to do so with their peers and teachers in the classroom. With teachers modeling vulnerability, students will understand that their difficult life experiences are welcome in the classroom, cultivating a sense of community and connection with students.
