I visited a special cafe named @sheroes_hangout . I Call it special because it’s run by a group of strong women that have been Acid Attack Victims!! In my eyes true heroes to continue with life and still work hard for their family!
Sitting down hearing their stories shook my soul from within! One girl who was just 15 was attacked by acid simply because she said no to a boy for a relationship! One woman’s husband put acid on her face while asleep and lot of the acid also fell on her 3 year old child distorting her face and making the child permanently blind! You can see she’s now grown up into an inspiration singing on the video call. Her name is Geeta. International film directors have Made a film on her named Geetha! What’s disturbing to know was that these women were only given an compensation of 3 lakh rupees from authorities while their husbands have been roaming free or on bail!
I urge and request the citizens and residents of Agra to kindly visit the cafe and show support and love by ordering your meals and hanging out at Sheroes hangout cafe, Agra! Let’s help them see Light again! ❤️ Sheroes Hangout
