Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – For a beautiful smile😁
OIL PULLING: First thing in the morning, once a day. In Ayurveda, oil pulling ( GANDUSHA & KAVALA) is a part of our dincharya. In Gandusha you hold the oil in your mouth for as long you can comfortably do that. In kavala you swish around the oil for 5-15 mins. This pulls toxins out from the mouth: resulting in fresher breath, firmly rooted gums, preventing gum diseases and cavities.

BRUSHING: Twice a day. Morning for freshness and evening for oral health;) I joined the night brushing club really late and can’t emphasize more on the importance of it. I am using @georganics mineral toothpaste which retains the tooth enamel and is great for dental health. This came around when my dentist in India told me that my staining is happening because of using harsh (detergent like) toothpastes (all over the counter toothpastes you can think of), which is removing the enamel of my teeth. With mineral toothpastes, you can physically touch & feel a smooth thin layer of protection on your teeth.

TONGUE SCRAPING: I do this after oil pulling in the morning and after brushing in the night. That’s just how I like to do it. The idea is to remove all the toxins sitting & clogged on the surface of the mouth. Rinse later:)

FLOSS: This one’s my fav and again I started this after my dentist insisted. We are not even aware of how much of plaque is stuck in bw the teeth and around the gumline. One of the best ways to prevent cavaties and gum diseases.

All products are from @georganics which are organic, natural, sustainable and effective. Their packaging is completely plastic free & sustainable. Their brushes are made with wood and floss with charcoal fiber. They bottle their products in glass and use recycled plastic when needed.
They are cruelty free and Vegan🌱 and what more can I ask for😀
A big shout out to them for thinking of the Planet🌎 London, United Kingdom
Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – I always get this a lot: ‘You are sooo flexible but how do you get your strength from yoga’?

Now before I begin, I want to say that I am all game for strength training and I really feel it’s a must for everyone. As we age we need more muscle tone and strength to support our knees and joints. If you got the time and are doing weights and strength training, that’s awesome as that’ll always top the list. However, understanding of strengthening asanas with proper core engagement will advance you in your yoga practice.

After years of working out, dancing and yoga; I just want to share some light on how drastically my strength doubled up after regular practice of yoga. I didn’t even realize that every day of moving from one asana to the other, I was constantly transitioning through downward dogs & chaturanagas. Which is a lottttt of push ups you can say:)

So here is a post about a few asanas I like to incorporate into my everyday practice which helps me in my arm balances like crow, headstand and hand stands.
My go to for strength is an active vinyasa flow or sometimes functional training or Ashtanga Vinyasa practice (which in itself is a functional training, apart from being a yogic practice).

Lemme know what you feel about it:)
