A Versace meets Richard Quinn fusion was the idea within about 5 mins and @bby.ldn was the best teammate I could’ve asked for! From Baby talking me through a meltdown after trying to make leggings for 3 hours, me whipping this dress together pretty much after filming confessionals in the morning, styling both our wigs at 5am before we got the coach to the studio and hot gluing bows to each other 3 mins before the runway, this challenge was chaos but I wouldn’t change it for the world! I also wanted to wait till this episode to say that I really struggled to keep up financially with my runways. I’ve seen a fair bit of criticism towards my “simple” aesthetic, which I think is a combination of financial constraints, the extremely high standard of queens this season and getting many of my fashion references from runways and less “draggy” aesthetics. It sucks because I would’ve loved to bring my grandest ideas to life but it wasn’t possible for many runways. It wasn’t in the episode but i remember saying in confessionals “take everyone’s wallets away, and I’ll come out on top”. Winning the design challenge as a self proclaimed fashion queen after week one felt like the perfect redemption!
