Isaac was diagnosed at age 4 with Lesch-Nyham Syndrome, a genetic disorder that has left him in a wheelchair. He’s now almost 19 years old, and an @austinfc megafan! “Over the past nine years, his mom Bene, has been driving the same “soccer mom” van and manually lifting her son in and out of his wheelchair and stowing it in her trunk. Then in April, she was the victim of a hit-and-run car accident that totaled her car.” “With Isaac now 18 years old, Bene said it’s much more difficult to pick him and his wheelchair up for everyday transport.” Bene and Isaac need a wheelchair accessible van with low miles and decent gas mileage. We’ve been working with Bradley Harper of Mobility Works of Texas, and he has located the perfect van that meets all their needs. Their friend and neighbor, Melissa Graham, set up a Go Fund Me page.
