Today is the anniversary of my mama’s death day. Ruth Felder Winger. She is so happy here. My father seems happy behind her.
My mother worked from the first day I remember. I never knew there was a choice until later. She lived a lot of things without questioning them. Both her strength and a bit of what is lacking in our lives. This year I see both as co-existing – the living and the questioning. We pass our death day each year, we just don’t know it – I let it be my life’s muse today.

4/21/21 : I wanted to write about how I dreaded the winter last year – the same way I am resisting the Spring. But it occurs to me that although these are seasonally correct as emotions that I often feel living where I do, and somewhat interesting to note in that they are timeless in Nature: NOW is always different. Now the dread and the resistance are reflected in the NEWs each and every freakin day. I do dread hearing it – for every conviction, how many deaths by police?
