study strategies which worked in school, and at work for me! (& advice I give my students every day)
1. never spend too much time practicing to the point of feeling burnt out. At some time, quality is truly better than quantity. Rather than working on new practice papers, I spent the time reviewing my mistakes, finding out misconceptions I had, and taking the time to fix those by going to my friends/superiors.
2. active recall is something I do a lot of in my classes. (Even in classes I teach now.) This is a method of retrieving information from your brain using specific triggers. I use keywords to help trigger relevant concepts for my students, so they are able to quickly identify what a question is asking for, and what concept is needed to solve it
3. mindmaps! drawing mind maps helps my mind to link everything I have learnt, in a visual manner, and allows me to see the big picture, which is something that is commonly neglected, when we spend too much time fixating on individual chapters.

I loveeee this function, it’s truly a game changer especially when I want to jot down notes on the go, in a car where it’s just not possible to write nice, legible notes. And I can imagine how useful this would be as a student rushing to take down notes in a lecture hall. So thank you @apple for making this ♥️🤪
To use this function,
1. Go to settings
2. Click on Apple Pencil
3. Turn on the “scribble” function
4. Get writing!

Let’s talk about how I nearly got hacked. Had one of the scariest experiences last year when I received 10 emails from Instagram within a span of 5 mins informing me that someone was trying to log into my account. The person was trying to reset my password. It was such a scare, to know that a faceless person was trying to gain access.
Thankfully, I had enabled 2FA for my account, and my password was an extra-strong one with capital letters, punctuation, and numbers all included. Sharing this today to remind you to use a strong password and set up 2FA if you haven’t – this is done in 5 mins, super easy, and fuss-free!
As we rely more on digital, we need more cyber defenders to guard our cyber space Read that we can trace someone’s IP using their email addresses- what!!!? Maybe you can consider a career in cybersecurity and then teach me more tips ☺️✌🏻
