Grandpa graduated first in his class at West Point in 1938 and served for 35 years. He was stationed in the Pacific with the Combat Engineers during WWII, and he retired from the Army as Dean of Academics at West Point. As a military spouse, Grandma raised five children and moved more than a dozen times. She attended every Army home football game from 1957-2008 and was dubbed by the Academy as Army’s #1 Sports Fan.
