My best friend @rambosgettingold finally got too old. The dreaded day finally came, and Rambo crossed the Rambo bridge on Tuesday. My Ram, my ham, my tiny man, was nearly 16; he was in pain and it was time. The silliest boy got me through my 20s, four breakups, and a pandemic, and I’ll always be grateful to him for that.
I’m gonna miss his morning wiggles, my favorite part of the day. I’ll cherish stumbling on him buried in piles of clothes in my messy closet every day, feeling him climb up behind me to be my neck pillow while I worked, and how annoyed he’d get when I’d force him to snuggle. (I got one last annoying snuggle in, pictured here.) And I’ll never understand how a dog could be prideful about letting us help him on the bed, but that was Ram.
