Luna Lauren Velez Instagram – I’ve worked alongside New York Disaster Interfaith Services as they have fundraised and worked with Team Playa to rebuild lives. Barrio Playa Anasco was flooded during Maria, damaged by the 2020 earthquake and financially crippled by COVID-19 – but after 5 years they had completely rebuilt their 650 home community and finally reopened the local public beach which is protected during sea turtle hatching season. Fiona hit hard and flooded 1/3, about 180 homes, in the barrio. I’m asking for you prayers and support to help one of my favorite charities to bring emergency assistance this week.
