Watervillas in the Maldives are epic
But only the Ambanis and Bachchans can afford them!
MALDIVES can put a cramp in your savings!
So can regular people go to the Maldives?
How do you penny pinch in paradise?
Here are 10 ways:
1. Go in Low Season. May to October.
2.Ditch private resort islands for local islands
3. Go for state run public transport- MTCC ferries
4. Select a budget friendly island- Maafushi
5.Bring your own snorkeling gear
6. Book scuba diving in advance
7.Walking tours to know the local culture and landscpaes
8. Ditch 5 star dining for local eateries
9. Avoid high taxes on alcohol
10. You can book a diving trip and just live on a boat

Right now I am in Portugal 🇵🇹
As soon as I landed I got some DMs ( from
Men ) telling me how they were mugged here. I was harassed and on the verge of getting mugged in Bordeaux France 🇫🇷 A very nice woman came to my rescue .
But you can fear less in the above countries!
Of course there is no 100 percent Guarantee anywhere as it takes one incident so never be completely oblivious!
Although I have left my door unlocked in Singapore when I lived there ( by mistake ) and left my wallet with cash in a theatre and both times I was completely astonished that I was fine!!

Leave a ❤️if you agree that there is no education like travel. There’s no better investment in yourself than travel.
When my sister says my son has school I can’t take him on a trip- I always tell her traveling is more important than school!
Here are a few personal reasons why I feel this way –
1. We have new cultural experiences- We become more open to other peoples perspectives and beliefs and religion. We immerse ourselves in their culture and dress and food and lifestyle. Gives us a new perspective on life
2. We learn to live in the present: I think a lot of my travels in my early 20s were escapism. Every time I had a break up or lost a job or something happened I took a bus or a train somewhere and then I was away from that challenge- living in the moment 🙂
I guess I still do that – a lot 😂
3. We meet new people: interact with people from all over the world. Hear their stories. Open our minds. Make friends – like minded ones who I’m in touch with.
4. You’ll see incredible places: every place has a story to tell. Travel helps in living each story.
5. We come back with exciting stories to tell. If I have grandkids – I will entertain them 😂
6. We grow by getting out of our comfort zone. Travel 🧳 takes us away from the comfort zone and forces us to experience new and different things!
7. We try local foods, expand our pallet!
8. We get to relax and unwind: traveling takes away all the stress and helps in mental and physical rejuvination.
9. Helps us stay healthy! And youthful. Take my parents to a new place and they are filled with awe and wonder. They walk more, they explore more. This keeps them young and healthy!
10. We learn new languages or maybe a few words here and there – esp if we meet someone hot we want to communicate with 😉
So now you tell me – why do you think Travel Is Important!

From Kashmir to To Kanyakumari, Tourists Are Leaving Tonnes Of Garbage And It Needs To Stop!
I am traveling the world and I can truly say there’s no country as epic and diverese and hospitable as MY INDIA 🇮🇳
But My India also has another side.
A dangerous side and if we don’t check the situation now, we will not have all these beautiful places left!
For example Bahubali hills- who will want to go there if it’s just a garbage dump!
Or beautiful Darjeeling-destroyed by their waste management challenge – with overflowing garbage Darjeeling’s innards are rotting.
Jodhpur- I remember visiting 15 years ago and it was so special. My last visit – I was shocked by the overflowing gutters and the sanitation issue in the blue city.
Our mountains in Himachal and Uttarakhand need our support too. The garbage that we as tourists take there, stays there!
Beautiful Ladakh too- soon it will not be as beautiful anymore as people just leave their plastic there and it stays there in the nature forever and ever because there is no way to get it back from the wilderness!
We need to be responsible! We need to act now.
I know some of you will not respond well to this post and some may unfollow or leave an angry comment but I feel as a travel content creator it’s not just my duty to show beautiful places but also to show the reality of the situation and spread awareness.
Please Leave a comment and let me know how we can handle this situation as it is very very urgent!

Leave a ❤️for Azerbaijan 🇦🇿
I recently visited Azerbhaijaan and it’s being called The New Dubai but I feel Baku Is a Lot More Than “The Next Dubai”
Here’s my Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 vs Dubai genuine review –
1. I fell in love with the old city.
In Dubai — where historical sites are very few and far between, and culture is lost in the malls and beach clubs with over the top eye candy with their plastic surgery and designer wear
Here in Azerbhaijaan I feel the eye candy is the Old Town.
Baku’s Old City has preserved its 12th century defensive walls and its now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
2. In complete contrast to the old city is the New City- Baku’s over-the-top architectural marvels.
What stood out for me –
Flame Tower- comes night and you see them light up symbolizing Zoroastrianism’s origins in Azerbaijan
( and since I am Zoroastrian that was special for me )
3. The culinary culture of Azerbaijan, which borrows from the travelers who passed along the Great Silk Road, is just as rich. Influences from Turkey, Iran, Russia, and Georgia are evident in Azeri dishes.
4. You don’t have to travel far from Baku to visit some of Azerbaijan’s most unusual natural wonders. Fire mountain and the 17 the century Zoroastrian + Hindu temple
5. Nightlife – Baku has an exciting nightlife! And it’s way cheaper to party here than dubai.
6. Shopping 🛒 of course the malls in Dubai and the brands are all there much more than Azerbaijan so if that’s your thing – then Dubai wins in that department:)
7. Money spent – wayyyy less than in Dubai!!! Hotels , restaurants- everything is much more economical here!
Visa is easy to get! And there’s a direct flight from delhi – there in a few hours!

Iconic Lake Burdened With Sewage? Is the Dal Lake in trouble. Please read further.
You can’t come to Kashmir and not take a picture in The Dal Lake, can you. When you think of kashmir, you think of the Iconic Dal Lake
The Shikaras and Houseboats are on every Honeymooners Wishlist.
But do you know the lake is in big trouble?
I wasn’t aware of this either till so many of you Dmd me.
I was wondering why it wasn’t clean and upon doing research, interviewing people and reading your Dms I learn this –
Environmentalists say efforts like removing the weeds have helped, but more needs to be done to save the lake, especially from untreated and unwanted sewage.
The lake is in major trouble!
SEWAGE comes from CITY DRAINS, the Homes Along The Lake and Some Houseboats.
I interviewed some houseboat owners-
This is the reply of one houseboat owner- Mr Sameer Ahmed says –
“ Houseboats are not the main cause of pollution of the lake,
As per the official reports of Rukku University Houseboats contaminate the lake by 0.8% during peak season.
For which the government has already connected the house boats to sewage treatment plants!
It is the people living on the peripheral areas of the lake and government run pump stations which pollute the lake.
The lake is famous only because of the houseboats and people living inside it making it one of its kind in the world. It carries rich cultural heritage.”

Does anyone remember when it was trendy to know french in india and everyone went to Alliance Francaise?
Even my granny used to be obsessed with french and my grand father used to say to her – stop speaking like that!
I enjoy putting on the french accent too 😅 the french people seem to hate my accent though 😂
I love coming back to this country and I love how every time the French leave me in a huff and a puff- frustrated !
My french pronunciations suck even though I studied french in school when ‘Alliance francais’ was a thing. My teachers name was Mrs Bringey and she spoke french with a Bengali accent.
