The adventures of one (1) thick-legged boy in New York City last month, promoting #theyslashthem on @thetodayshow. Thank you to @benjaminholtrop for styling this Perfect Frame Aesthetic and @shoes53045 outfit and encouraging me to show off my shoulders, and @thejennysauce for making me look cute with hair and makeup. Thank you to @williamrusan and @dabronxbrown and @42west for helping me stay calm for my first national TV interview because I was so nervous and wanted to rep my fellow cast mates well! Our film has been out for a month on @peacocktv and I hope you’ve had the chance to check it out 🏳️⚧️ my interview with the kind @kevinbacon and sweet Anna Chlumsky is up on the The Today Show’s website 🌈🥰🏳️⚧️ – I also have a special message for the haters of Trans and Nonbinary people who have been popping up since the film came out: I’m sorry you’re struggling with so much insecurity that you have to be mean. Go out and lie in a field of wildflowers and breathe in the sweet air. Pick up a new fantasy book or romance novel or a new hobby. Learn about western colonization’s impact on gender roles. Learn how to play chess. Leave us alone. All that prejudice is making you look old.

kinda speechless I made the #out100 list this year. I look at this list and see all these incredible people doing what they do and I feel pretty honored to be alongside them. I am also very grateful for this photo. I feel so beautiful. This photo we submit for the list was taken by @logancolephoto during our first premiere night for they/them and the look was styled by @benjaminholtrop, one of the coolest human beings I’ve ever met. I’m really into looking like a warrior as well, and this harness was custom-created by @coltypdx and then generously gifted to me after I got to wear it (give them your business now now now 😍 because they are so cool and kind). This is a really really great and needed Halloween present ❤️ This photo is also one of the One Billion Ways to Be Nonbinary ❤️ Other actors on the list include: Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Black, Brian Michael Smith, Eva Reign, Joe Locke, Yasmin Finney, Jason Stuart, Jessica Darrow, Laci Mosley, Leonardo Nam, Matt Rogers, Nathan Foad, Vico Ortiz, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Liv Hewson, T. Oliver Reed, and Golda Rosheuvel ❤️ Image descriptions are in alt text! 😊

Thank you K. Bae for continuing to partner with @bornperfect ~repost from @kevinbacon • Working on my latest film, I learned some things I wasn’t aware of before about LGBTQ youth. I didn’t know that in over half of the U.S., it is legal for providers to try and convince young people not to be LGBTQ . And I didn’t know how incredibly harmful that process can be — that in most cases it leads to substance abuse and self-harm, even suicide. I am grateful to @bornperfect for their work to make me and the filmmaking team aware of this terrifying reality for too many queer and trans kids and the work they do every day to end this harmful practice. I helped tell a fictional story about the horrors of so-called “conversion therapy,” and now I want to support real life survivors telling theirs. Please join me in telling LGBTQ youth that they are born perfect and we have their backs: text ‘BornPerfect’ to 44-321 to donate spare bucks to help end the cause of ending Conversion Therapy (abuse) ❤️

Carrying on our Halloween tradition of dressing like backup dancers for Pinhead 🪡🎃🕸⛓️🫀 thanks @piercedbyrylan for being our guardian angel 👼🏼 image descriptions in alt text! there’s also a spelling error in my poem – it should be smokemachine / not “smokeachine” 😹

hello friends, my rainbow selfie face is for the algorithm, but ~ please swipe right and check out my friends’ film they are currently trying to fundraise for so that they can shoot it! @eli_sulkowski and @lraidt are spearheading the development of a short film called Lee and Charlie (@lee_and_charlie_film ). The premise of this film is: Lee, a trans man, and his wife, Charlie, are smack dab in the middle of creating a family. Insecurities, hormone imbalances, loss of bodily autonomy, and the exhaustion of new parenthood test the limits of this resilient queer couple. The mission statement is: At a time where the safety, bodily autonomy, and livelihood of trans people and their loved ones are under constant threat and attack, Lee and Charlie will be a declaration of our inherent dignity. The queer and trans team behind Lee & Charlie is creating a story filled with intention and hope for all. I’m really excited for this short film because I feel very passsionate about increased representation and discussion, especially in our current climate, around the intersection of pregnancy, body autonomy, queerness, and trans people who are interested in becoming parents. But it’s very hard to get a lot of these films off of the ground, and they need your help! Please swipe right to check out a really adorable clip of Eli excitedly popping out from behind a shower curtain to briefly beep about the film, as well as a QR page, that if you scan it will take you to their @seedandspark donation page, where there’s a great pitch video and further description of the project. They only have several days left to raise funds – and donating means you’ll get a perk! I attended an earlier reading of this short film before it started to go into pre-production and I really fell in love with the tenderness and frankness of the script – it’s definitely something that deserves to be put on screen. The link to Lee and Charlie’s fundraiser is also going to be up in my bio – please check out more there as well. Thank you so much for reading – happy thursday and take care!

happy nonbinary day image description: a doodle/illustration made from markers and cut paper. In this art, there is a large eye in the middle of the page, surrounded by wavey lines, stars, and shapes in a sort of kaleidoscope pattern, in different blues, purples, some pinks, black, and gold. It symbolizes a night sky. Underneath the eye are a couple of strips of cut paper, and they say “My Gender is as magnificent, vast, and colorful as outer space.”
