Abhirami Venkatachalam Instagram – I had heard many times from my Paatima (grandma) how lighting lamps, offering flowers, and breaking coconuts for Devi can help in burning up the difficulties in life and light it with bright opportunities. But my main inspiration to do Vilaku Seva (offering of lamps to Devi) was the spectacular glory she showers as we light up all the lamps around her. Like an angel brighter than the sun itself, the joy and celebration are something indescribable. I did the Seva without any expectation or purpose, just a simple offering but when I returned home, I could see things were not the same. What do I say? Her presence has been a palpable force in my life after that incident. Always holding my hand no matter the circumstance. I feel this humbling bond with the Divine is eternal, invincible, and unfathomable. Jai Bharavi.
